The Inclusion Imperative – An Action Oriented Guidebook for City Leaders and Advocates

World Enabled and CBM came together to publish a pathbreaking guidebook to shape the future of cities. The Inclusion Imperative – Towards Disability-inclusive and Accessible Urban Development highlights the key physical, social, and institutional factors that act as barriers or facilitators for the full and equal participation for women, men, girls and boys with disabilities. The publication is available in Spanish and English as well as an easy to read version. The publication sheds light on the critical role local and national governments, civil society, academia, philanthropic foundations, and the private sector can play in ensuring that cities of the future are inclusive, accessible, and barrier-free to persons with disabilities. Each chapter provides an action oriented approach for advocates and city leaders to build inclusive and barrier-free cities for all.
